SERG Technologies’ team is growing! We are delighted to welcome Konstantinos Dalakas, Thomas Watts and Vani Virdyawan aboard. Konstantinos is an experienced mechatronics engineer with background in wearable devices development using lean techniques. Previously, he has served as lead engineer in several start-ups, leading the productisation of patent pending devices from the prototype stage to the introduction to market. He will join the team as the Lead Hardware Engineer. Thomas is currently completing his PhD in Medical Robotics within the Mechatronics in Medicine Group at Imperial College London where he is involved in developing mathematical model for a bio-inspired neurosurgical robot. He will be joining our team as Lead Development Engineer. Vani is a research associate at Imperial College London who is joining our team to lead the development of our signal processing and machine learning algorithms. He will work on our wearable diagnostics team to use movement and muscle activity recordings to predict symptom severity in people with Parkinson’s disease. He has recently completed a PhD in Mechatronics, Robotics and Automation Engineering where he was involved in a project to develop flexible, steerable needles for use in deep brain surgery.
